Discover the spirit of the Queen Charlotte Islands with Keith and Barb Rowsell aboard their schooner Anvil Cove. The Queen Charlotte Islands or Haida Gwaii as they are known locally, are one of the very special places of this world. They are home to the Haida people and their distinctive culture (both ancient and contemporary) and the unique coastal, temperate rainforest that defined and nurtured that culture as it does the contemporary way of life of the Queen Charlottes today.

Anvil Cove is a 53-foot schooner, owned and operated by long-time Queen Charlotte residents Keith and Barb Rowsell. The boat and her crew are certified by Canadian Coast Guard as a Passenger Vessel. The crew is fully trained in seamanship, safety and first aid and have over 25 years experience sailing the waters of Haida Gwaii. Anvil Cove Charters is licensed by the Archipelago Management Board to conduct tours in Gwaii Haanas Park/Reserve and Haida Heritage Site, and is in the CTC Catalogue of Exemplary Practices in Adventure Travel.

We are an adventure tour company with an emphasis on the cultural and natural heritage of these wild and beautiful islands. The Queen Charlotte Islands are our home and exclusive area of operation. It is our aim to share our knowledge and love of these islands and surpass all of your expectations.
